Marty Natalegawa——ASEAN at 50（需报名）

As ASEAN marks its fiftieth year, the lecture will reflect on its transformative contributions to the region, and more importantly, to anticipate it future. Southeast Asia is one of the world’s most diverse regions. Its 640 million people include 240 million Muslims, 120 million Christians, 150 million Buddhists, and millions of Hindus, Taoists, Confucianism, and Communists. Its most populous country, Indonesia, is home to 261 million people. The region has made extraordinary progress in recent decades, achieving a level of peace and prosperity that was previously unimaginable.（报名方式见下）

Marty Natalegawa

Dr. R.M. Marty M. Natalegawa served as Foreign Minister of the Republic of Indonesia between 2009 - 2014. As Foreign Minister, he oversaw Indonesia’s emergence as a regional power with global responsibilities. He currently serves as a member of the United Nations Secretary-General's High Level Advisory Board on Mediation and the United Nations President of the General Assembly's Team of External Advisors.

In November 2012, he was made Honourary Knight Commander of the Order of St. Michael and St. George (KCMG) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
